Mailbox settings modification - Microsoft Outlook 2007

If you are using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 as a mail client please do the following steps to modify your mailbox settings. To help you simplify this process, we've just made some screenshots. Just click on them to magnify to it's original size. After that, you can close any time these pictures with the close button near to the pictures's left corner.

The modification process looks like this:

 

1. Please open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. If you see a security warning, just click on the button "Yes" to confirm. It's not a system error, it happens, because the system generated a self signed certificate to enable mailbox secure communication. In normal way there's a certification, which was signed by an official certification provider company. 

 

 

 

2. Choose the "Account settings" menu item, from the "Tools" menu:

 

 

 

3. If the "Account settings" opens, please choose the default mailing configuration, and click on the "Change" button:

 

 

 

4. If you're ready with steps above, please modify your incoming and outgoing mail server name and fill out the neccessary fields with the text: mail.mik.uni-pannon.hu. After that please check your username field. Please note, that your correct username in the new system is your e-mail address.

 

 

 

5. Click on "More Settings" to specify the mailer systems's secure protocol configuration. First choose the "Outgoing Server" tab, and check  "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option. Next choose "Advanced" tab and fill out the neccessary fields as you see below:

 

 

 

 

 

6. Apply the settings with the "OK" button and then test your settings  with the "Test Account Settings" button:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you're ready, please check your client functionality. Send a test message and click on the "Send/Receive" button on the program's toolbar.
